Saturday 26th April 2025 – Lochcarron to Kyleakin Row

We did it!!!! A huge thank you to everyone who joined our epic 30km rowing adventure from Lochcarron to Kyleakin — what a day on the water! 💪🌤️
Alongside our fantastic friends from Strathpeffer and District Community Rowing Club, the amazing Loch Carron Skiffies, and a brilliant crew from Plockton, we rowed in true team spirit. With 5 skiffs and 1 hardy kayak, we journeyed past the dramatic ruins of Strome Castle and down through the narrows.
A perfect picnic stop in Plockton gave us the boost we needed to tackle the second half of the challenge — onward past Barley Port, Erbusaig, and Badicaul, finishing under the iconic Skye Bridge into Kyleakin. 🌁🛶
This was our longest row yet, and we couldn’t be prouder. But here’s the thing — we want to do more. Bigger adventures, longer rows, new friendships… and for that, we need new recruits! If you’ve ever thought about giving coastal rowing a try, now’s your moment.
💥 No experience necessary – just enthusiasm and a love for the sea.
