Many thanks to the committee for organising a fantastic Cox training weekend on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th April, to Dave Polson for hosting Topher, and to Skye Bridge Studios for use of their equipment and facilities. We launched near Eilean Donan Castle, Dornie and rowed to Castle Moil, Kyleakin: 15km at an easy pace, fairly choppy at times. Pitched up on the beach for coffee and snacks, then back out to surf some waves. What a day!!
Our crews are fully immersed in training for our first regatta of the year! Meeting twice a week, we’re honing our physically demanding, adrenaline-fuelled techniques in preparation for Strathpeffer And District Community Rowing Club‘s regatta in just a few weeks. Regatta season will soon be upon us and we’ve started a new series of Technique and Training sessions for anyone who is interested in taking part or simply wants to improve their stamina and skill.
