Personal Setup

In the first of these short training videos, the SCRA explain how to achieve a good personal setup, and the importance in doing so.

The Catch

The first stage of a rowing stroke is the “catch”, where your oar meets the water. A good stroke, begins with a well-timed catch.

The Drive

The second stage is to apply the power, during the “drive”.

The Recovery

Finally, round of each stroke with a well timed Recovery, to set you up well for the start of your next stroke.
