Launching from the green rocky shore at Badentarbet, our rowing crew of Al, Lauren, Helen, Rebecca and Lesley joined fellow coastal rowing clubs for a truly memorable day on the water. Alongside Saucy Mary, club members Frank and Lisa, together with Lindsay and Simon, also took part by kayak as part of our group for the event.

The gathering brought together around 10 skiffs from 8 clubs, as well as a couple of luggers, and the magnificent tall ships Spirit of Falmouth and Pellew from the Full Circle expedition organised by Turn to Starboard. Our crew even helped unload bags of Cornish Sea Salt onto the island as part of the voyage logistics.

The day included:
- A warm welcome at the Herring Station
- Sailing, rowing and kayaking in company around Tanera Mòr
- BBQ, local music and fantastic island hospitality

Camping at Port a Bhaigh Campsite made the weekend even more special, with a couple of delicious dinners enjoyed at the neighbouring Am Fuaran Bar, and lots of dancing at Coigach Community Rowing Club’s ceilidh on the Saturday evening.

With sunshine, calm seas, great company and an amazing atmosphere throughout, it was a weekend to remember.
Huge thanks go to:
for organising such a brilliant event and making everyone feel so welcome.
We’re already looking forward to next year!
