It was a brilliant few days for South Skye & Lochalsh Coastal Rowing Club, with Saucy Mary taking to the water for a weekend full of racing, teamwork, laughter and plenty of shore-side fun!
From getting the boat on and off the water, setting up the gazebo, organising crews and cheering from the shore, to the racing itself, it was a real team effort from start to finish. There were smiles everywhere and a real sense of pride in what we achieved together. It was fantastic to see everyone getting stuck in, supporting each other and enjoying the whole regatta experience. ❤️
We were also very grateful to the rowers from other clubs who joined us to fill seats in Saucy Mary. Their generosity and team spirit meant we could take part in even more races and made the weekend even more enjoyable. 🤝
Regattas are about so much more than the time spent rowing. There is a huge amount that happens behind the scenes, and everyone played their part — whether rowing or coxing, helping with Saucy Mary, towing, launching, recovering, taking photos, cheering, organising or simply being there to lend a hand.
